I have had the honor to work professionally with Mike for over 20 years. His leadership skills and keen understanding of the power of teamwork have enabled him to be successful in multiple executive management assignments at Bank Of America.  He is compassionate and a hard worker and will not let failure get in the way of the vision and shared goals he creates as a leader.  Mike is a very good listener and thru both his business experience and community service has honed his skills as a coach. I had the privilege of working for Mike at Bank of America.  Mike is recognized as one of the most effective team builders and true coaches across the company. Mike and I’s working relationship started with a single project that included a 32 story-Class “A” office building, a 140 room Ritz Carlton, and Urban Garden connecting the aforementioned.  As the Project Executive, Mike commanded the presence of a true professional and gentleman driving the enormous team to deliver a landmark “City Block” in Uptown Charlotte. Regardless of the size of the project, Mike has the talent to bring a team together that has exceeded expectations.

Mike has a passion for developing high performing teams.  He was always figuring ways to reinvent how processes worked and make them simplier for the client. His team made it possible for us to build and open hundreds of banking centers over the years with a great finished facilities.

Mike Sharp is the ultimate professional real estate project leader.  I worked with Mike for several years at Bank of America where I led the Consumer Bank’s Retail Distribution Execution team. Mike was a key partner in our efforts to transformthe bank, leading the all important brick and mortar project components. Mike listens and responds to concerns when raised but more importantly he looked out for our interests, often identifying a process improvement before it became an issue.   In the last few years at the bank, Mike’s team handled the largest project loads but had the least number of issues. I attribute that success to Mike’s leadership, planning skills and flat out ability to get it done. And to top it all off Mike is a genuine caring individual… someone you want to know.

I had the opportunity to work on teams led by Mike on two occasions at Bank of America: first on College Street Development where Mike led the team that built 1BAC, the Ritz-Carlton & renovated Founder’s Hall and then later when Mike ran Project Management for the Southeast region. Mike has a unique blend of character traits that fostered high performance teams on both occasions.   He has a strong drive for success and will challenge people on his team to stretch themselves beyond their comfort zone in order to perform at a higher level, but he couples this drive with a genuine concern for the growth and development of each and every person on his teams. While Mike’s official role at Bank of America was focused on building facilities, his real passion is building people. I benefited tremendously from his coaching and seek to pass on the lessons he taught me.

Mike Sharp is one of the best leaders I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I have known Mike for 20+ years, and worked for him 2 years, but have considered him a mentor since our relationship began. It should go without saying that he is a remarkable professional, with an eye for not only growing talent, but also delivering results.  Mike’s ability to craft and cascade vision, build teams, develop leaders and inspire teammates to win with integrity is unparalleled in the industry.
